Metro 2039 confirms 60fps ray tracing on base PS5 and Series X, not just PS5 Pro
Metro 2039's new demonstration could easily have been treated as a PS5 Pro advertisement: 4K footage released after State of Play, ray tracing and a 60fps capture from Sony's premium console. The more useful detail is hidden in 4A Games' technical confirmation. Standard PS5 and Xbox Series X are targeting the same 60fps ray-traced Performance Mode.

Showing Metro 2039 on PS5 Pro is the obvious marketing choice. The more technically interesting promise is that the standard PS5 is not being left with a completely different target: 4A Games says both Sony consoles and Xbox Series X will offer a 60fps Performance Mode with ray tracing at launch.
